HULA LUAU PARTY

Make sure to double click the collage picture for a more detailed view!  My oldest daughter discovered her hidden talent of hula hooping as she entertained herself (as well as us) on a rainy summer afternoon.  It just  happened to be when she was thinking about what she wanted to do for her birthday.   My  Parents magazine came in highlighting a precious hula luau party.  Theme dilemma solved :)  We made pretty much everything from the cute flip flop banner to the milk dud coconut bra the cute hula girl cake wore!  She was a hit! Believe it or not,  she was EASY to make!I used two cake mixes baked in my stainless steal kitchenaid bowl!  For a versitile and “green” centerpiece, we bought pineapples and simply took our skewers and hot glued a cute pic of our daughter at the beach.  How’s that for making use of things you already own!  This party was fun for both adults AND children!  Want to see a cute slideshow of more pictures from our day?  Check this out for some more fun ideas: http://secure.smilebox.com/ecom/openTheBox?sendevent=4d5467324f4441314f5456384d5467324e4467324f54493d0d0a&sb=1

PRINCESS AND THE FROG PARTY

So my sweet sweet 3 year old requested a Princess and the Frog Party.  After having one daughter who was never into the princess thing, I was HAPPY to oblige.  I think it turned out  cute!  I designed a wand trimmed in “fairy dust” AKA glitter :) and put a tiny little frog and princess at the top to set the theme.   Everything else was easy after that!  It was one she will always remember!  Remember to click on the picture and you can see all of the pictures in detail.  You can also check out more pics from our day by clicking here:  http://secure.smilebox.com/ecom/openTheBox?sendevent=4d5467344d444d314e4442384d5467324e4467324f54493d0d0a&sb=1

Our Sweet Boy Turns 1!

In the quest to find cute things for  a boy,  I was so excited to find that there are PLENTY of  creative ideas out there.   I searched and googled until I found just the right look for my sweet boy.  I loved the blue and green colors and basically created everything around the colors instead of a specific theme.    I thought it was perfect for him!  I made cute little tins in coordinating colors,  used dowels to place his sweet smiling face on  &  filled them with gumballs in the perfect coordinating colors.  The banner with with his pictures of months 1-12 will now serve  a dual purpose when I fill his scrapbook with them!    Email me if you are interested in any of the decorating items pictured!  Click here for a slideshow of more pictures from our special day with our special boy: http://secure.smilebox.com/ecom/openTheBox?sendevent=4d5467344d444d314e5446384d5467324e4467324f54493d0d0a&sb=1

Welcome to PalmBeachPolkaDots! I started creating invitations for my children 6 years ago. 3 children later, I still enjoy making their invitations and have been selling to the public through Ebay and Etsy for over 3 years now. I was a teacher for 10 years and art projects were one of my favorite activities! With every order, I think of it as a new and creative piece of art that will give you something that is truly one of kind and something you will keep forever.
